Before we dive into the actual points on the body that influence our emotional/social intelligence, we need to understand what Hypnosis is and how it works?

The word Hypnosis means: “An artificially induced altered state of consciousness, characterized by heightened suggestibility and receptivity to direction.” – American Heritage. Hypnosis is part of our survival mechanisms that allow us to focus on a particular thing or event with great clarity. When you’re driving, you are in fact, entranced by maintaining focus on the road and other drivers. You can do other things while driving (and some do to an extreme point). You can become so entranced that you completely blow by that turn you should have made a while ago!

In Kappasinian Hypnosis, there are message units (groups of sensory) flooding the brain all the time! When we were younger, we became overwhelmed by this flood of information and we either nodded off to sleep or we cried and through a fit. In the dawn of civilization, hypnodial states had another purpose! Which is to prevent being eaten by larger preditors by remaining perfectly still.

Our mind has wonderful components built into it to handle the skill of remaining still and completely focused simultaneously. This skill resides in our reptilian portion of our brain which controls the fight/flight urges. These urges are so powerful that, this part of the brain can completely override the other centers of thought and invoke immediate action. Some people have reported finding themselves running from a dangerous situation even before they realized the magnitude of the danger.

The mind has another fantastic component that prevents us from becoming overwhelmed by message units, which is the Critical Mind. The Critical Mind resides in the emotional centers of the brain (e.g., the amigdala) and is responsible for filtering message units and preventing an overload. The Subconscious Mind is responsible for long term memory, autonomic functions as well as secondary thought processing. And finally, the Pre-frontal Cortex center of the mind, or the Rational Mind. The Rational Mind deals with daily blow by blow play of events and is responsible for interactive social intelligence. It is similar to the last 16th of the iceberg of our consciousness, showing above the water, so to speak. All of these centers that compose our mind work as a well coordinated, over-eager willing army to achieve goals we present ourselves. And there in lies the rub! The goals we present ourselves can be healthy for us or unhealthy. This is the basic hypnotherapy view of the mind called: “Mind Theory!”

Now, when we induce hypnosis, we are actually flooding the mind with an over abundance of message units to the point that the rational mind becomes fixated. The critical mind also overloads and fixates/opens. And our subconscious becomes exposed to suggestions. We still have the Reptile Mind watching and it still can override and fight or flee. So, a person under hypnosis still has control of themselves similar to how early man had control to suddenly get up and run like the devil when the predator that was sniffing them, wasn’t buying the “play dead” routine.

The natural question that arises now is: “Why are some people predisposed to being hypnotized while others are not?” This is the $64,000.00 dollar question that Hypnotist reading this would love to know the answer! And here’s the answer that proves itself over and over again.

It depends completely on your Emotional/Physical Interactive Orientation (E/PIO)! What? That was a great $500.00 term wasn’t it? The E/PIO is how you interact with the world! Without getting into deeper discussions which we’ll do in later articles, suffice it to say that some interact on a very Physical Level while others interact predominantly Emotionally with the world.

Physicals are the first to go into a crowd and they have to meet everyone before the night is over! They’re the social butterfly that loves group hugs! While the other side of this…, the “Emotionals,” aren’t so much into their bodies. They’re more about getting ahead in there jobs and determining what a statement implies rather than what was literally stated. The Physicals need to be induced into hypnosis in a very A, B, C, literal way. Very black and white induction! Whereas the Emotionals (“Emo’s”) need to figure it out for themselves. They need you to imply what they should do because control is the name of the game! And it’s a game to them! It’s called, let’s debunk this even if it’s beneficial for me game! So instead of saying something like: “Your arm is raising up as you feel more relaxed!” You’d induce the Emo by saying: “There’s a balloon tied to your wrist and I’m filling the balloon with more and more helium making it lighter and lighter!” Their subconscious mind puts it together by inference, that the arm should float up!

There are still other categories of clients such as Intellectuals that need to know every detail of the induction that they will be experiencing and why it works, as well as what we call: “Somnambulist” which have the best of both worlds! They can be induced by very literal inductions as well as inferrant inductions. Most of humanity contains some parts of both Emo and Physical. It’s about a 80/20 split. There are tests that I’ll talk about in other articles that will quickly isolate the type of person that you’re dealing with as well as what category you fall into?

Let’s try a very nice self-induction to give you a taste. Now, the legal disclaimer: Check with your physician before using any and/or all information contained in this article. This article and it’s author is not by any way possible to be construed as a substitution for medical/psychatric/psychological advice!

Ok. Sit straight and with your feet flat on the floor. Make sure that you’ve chosen a place where the phone won’t disturb you or you’ll be intruded upon.

Look at yourself and try to memorize how you look right now! Decide that if you fall asleep, that you’ll wake shortly after your nap feeling totally awake and alert as well as deeply rested and refreshed!

Now, I want you to simply take that image and imagine what you’d look like in a deep state of trance? What your face would look like? How your body would be? How you’d be breathing? If your body would feel warm or cool? What would the air smell like? What would you be hearing or not hearing? What taste you’d have in your mouth? What the room would look like as you’re in trance.

Allow your eyes to close and picture yourself as you are right now with your hands in your lap and feet flat on the floor. Now, bring the image of you in deep trance gently bubbling through the image as your are right now! Good! Now do this cycle a few times. See the image of yourself as you are right now and then let the image of you in trance bubble to the surface and form a clear picture. Each time that image of you in trance bubbles to the surface, it’s brighter and clearer. Brighter and clearer.

Once that image is very bright and clear introduce the thought: “Everyday, in everyway, I’m getting better, better and better!”

Allow yourself to just roll that thought over and over again for awhile.

After you’ve had a nice short nap, just reverse the process and let the image of you NOT in trance burst into the bright image of you in trance. Allow the image of you awake and refreshed burst brighter and brighter, clearer and clearer! Totally refreshed and awake and alert!

Welcome back to yourself!

Thank you for your time and attention!

This is a continuation on the previous article detailing how to use Emotional Acupressure Hypnosis. This information is not intended to be a replacement for medical advice. Nor does the author recommend that anyone use this information without the express counsel of your doctor.

The easiest way to think of the body and the mind, is a fish net. During daily cycle, we are constantly collecting and catching various forms of information and experience. With this information and experience, we also collect tension and stress into our nervous system. This stress is acutely processed by our nightly dream cycles as the brain digests (speaking metaphorically,) the stress into useful experience which is stored in our subconscious. However, some stress remains in the nervous system and builds up day after day. This tension and stress can cause minor and sometimes major stagnation of neural energy within channels known as meridians (speaking in acupressure parlance). The energy systems of the body must cycle by both taking in tension and releasing it harmoniously.

Gary Craig of Emotional Freedom Technique and a student of Dr. Roger Callahan, who stumbled upon tapping in conjunction with acupuncture acupoints, packaged a very simplistic form of an age old science. Both of these modern pioneers work are highly effective, in providing relief from everything from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD) to installing positive affirmations. However, their work misses more accurate acupuncture/acupressure adjustments. And their methods don’t include the process of Elicited Somnambulism in conjunction as a result of acupressure to access the emotional or reptilian urge centers of the our energy systems.

Emotional Acupressure Hypnosis encompasses the use of the 108 Marma Access Points as well as the 12 Main Meridians plus their inner pathways and the 8 extra meridians access points. Like pressing reeds on a musical instrument, we can induce various states of consciousness and unconsciousness by pressing the right combination.

In our next article, we will dive deeper into the map of these 108 Marma Access Points as well as 12 Main Meridian plus their inner pathways and 8 extra meridian access points.

Thank you for your time and attention,

We’ve heard of others “pushing our buttons” before. Which usually means that someone has totally pissed you off by finding just the right subject and not backing down!

What if you could press the right set of buttons to not only eliminate stress of current situations but, past issues stored in your nervous system? Not only eliminate those stresses, but reprogram yourself effectively to react completely differently when that type of situation occurs again?

There is an axiom in Neural Linguistical Programming which says: “We are complete and have everything we’ll ever need to be fulfilled and happy!”

There is a ancient science known as: Emotional Acupressure Hypnosis which I teach and provide for free to the public. It’s derived from Marma Vidya which is an ancient Indian Ayurvedic practice of accessing the subconscious while pressing on key meridian points known as: “Marmas.” Acupuncture is thought to have grown out of Marma Vidya and modified itself with the use of needles.

Emotional Acupressure Hypnosis doesn’t use needles or burning powders of any type in it’s therapy. It uses various forms of deep trance induction in combination with self-acupressure. Once the client is deeply in a sonambulistic state of trance, the hypnotist has the client apply a combination of special meridian tapping as well as acupressure to key points on their body. After a few sessions, the client can enter trance by using self-hypnosis and apply the same tapping as well as acupressure safely to reprogram their responses to various issues.

Once the client becomes adapt at applying these simple methods to themselves, they can begin installing very positive programs to themselves to take advantage of what Cognitive Behavioral Therapist call the “ABC’s” Which stands for: (A)ction, (B)eliefs and (C)onsequences. In short, for every action that you take you add a new reference experience to your mental catalog of memories. These reference experiences build a belief model starting with an opinion, and progressing to a full blown conviction. Whenever another event takes place, those beliefs feed what actions we’ll take which cause life consequences. Some of those consequences are good, and some are undesireable. It becomes a continuous cycle.

When we install new programs to our ABC – Cycle, we change our consequences. The more lifeward, edifying, loving and positive, the more blissful the consequences.

Thank you for your time in reading this intro. I will be posting more articles on how-to perform TMEAH soon!
